Rustam Minnikhanov meets Kazakhstan Energy Minister Nurlan Nogayev

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Nurlan Nogaev. The meeting, which took place at the Kazan Expo on the sidelines of the Tatarstan Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals Forum, was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov.

Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated Nurlan Nogayev on the Constitution Day, which was celebrated on August 30. “Yesterday was also a holiday in Tatarstan, the Day of Republic. I would like to wholeheartedly wish fraternal Kazakhstan further successful development and the Kazakh people well-being and prosperity,” the Tatarstan President said.

Rustam Minnikhanov stressed that Kazakhstan is a strategic foreign partner of Tatarstan. Last year, trade turnover exceeded $630 million. The volume of mutual supplies is growing. Work on a number of joint projects is underway.

“The potential for our cooperation is great. There is an interest in the further expansion of trade, economic, and investment relations. We have many opportunities for cooperation,” the President added.

In turn, Nurlan Nogaev congratulated the people of Tatarstan on the Republic’s Day. The Minister praised the level of interaction with Tatarstan, including that in the field of energy.
