The Mi-17V-5 and Ansat helicopters of the Kazan Helicopters company (Russian Helicopters holding) will take part in the flight programme of the annual aviation festival I Opt for the Sky, marking the Russian Air Fleet Day. Guests of the event may visit a vocational training area of the Kazan Helicopters, where one can find out about job vacancies of the enterprise.
During the demonstration flights in the skies above Kazan, it will be possible to see the Mi-17B-5 and Ansat helicopters in pairs and individually. The helicopters will fly at an extremely low altitude of 50 metres. The helicopters will be performing several manoeuvres in pairs: a slide with a turn, turns, and a descent. During individual flights the audience will be able to see the helicopters’ hovering, turns, movements, slides, dives, and bows.
On the platform in front of the Kazan Family Centre, an interactive display of the company will take place. For the first time ever, a drone flight zone will be set up on a fenced-off area. Visitors will be able to try their hand at operating a quadcopter, using special goggles and a remote control. The visitors will be supported by members of Daedalus, team of the Kazan Helicopters and KNITU-KAI, being winners of the Cyberdrome semi-finals at MAKS 2021.
Guests will also see a museum display, where they can learn the history of the plant, types of manufactured helicopters, their modifications and characteristics. Nearby will be a photo zone where the Ansat helicopter will be installed.
