Nefis Cosmetics, the country’s biggest producer of household chemicals has launched an investment project to increase its capacity of laundry gels production by 2.5 times, to 11,000 tonnes per month. This was announced by company’s Director General Dina Lavrikova during the presentation of new equipment and upgraded production lines at the plant. The event was also attended by Head of the Corporate Governance Dept. of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Regina Akhmetova and Russian State Duma Deputy Irek Boguslavsky.

The ramp-up of production capacity will be achieved by means of more modern and efficient equipment, as well as by retrofitting of existing lines. At the moment, the company is capable of producing up to 4,500 tonnes of laundry gels.

Nefis Cosmetics is in a continuous process of retrofitting and improvement of its production facilities. In 2020 alone, the company has implemented a project to increase the capacity of liquid detergents to 20,000 tonnes per month. A project to increase the capacity of synthetic detergents is also nearing completion.

Wages of workers are also increasing. Most of the increase is due to higher output, but for the positions not connected with production, the company decided to make indexation of wages. The average wage of the production personnel in 2021 is RUB 46,300, which is RUB 7,600 higher than in 2020.
