Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov has a meeting today with a delegation of the Association of Turkish Machine Manufacturers (MİB).
The meeting was attended by Member of the Board of Directors at MİB, General Manager at Ermaksan Ahmet Özkayan, Secretary General at MİB Sefa Sadık Aytekin and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors at MİB, Deputy Chairman at Hürmak Plastik Burç Angan.
The Association consolidates more than 200 Turkish companies producing machinery and equipment for such sectors as food, automotive, wood processing, plastics, construction, and others. The main task of the organisation is to represent the interests of manufacturing companies among the authorities in the country as well as abroad, promote their products in foreign markets, assist in participation in exhibitions, analyse the machine building sector to provide unbiased information to the members of the association, and so on.
During the discussion, Minister Karimov noted that Tatarstan-Turkey cooperation is one of the priority areas of Tatarstan’s foreign economic activities. Enterprises of the two republics demonstrate continuous interest in developing cooperation. Also, Albert Karimov invited MİB representatives to visit Tatarstan in early December this year to take part in the Tatarstan Mechanical Engineering Forum.
