23 July 2021, Friday

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held an online meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov.

President Minnikhanov said Tatarstan attaches great importance to the development of interaction with Uzbekistan as part of Russia-Uzbekistan relations. “We are sincerely glad to expand our mutually beneficial ties. I assure you that, on our part, we are ready to provide full support,” the President stressed.

In his turn, Sardor Umurzakov congratulated Rustam Minnikhanov and all Tatarstan citizens on the Kurban Bayram holiday. “This holiday has a special place in the spiritual life of our peoples, embodying our national values: kindness, mercy, and respect for each other. I would like to wish you and me every success in cooperation,” he said.

Later on, representatives of companies from Tatarstan and Uzbekistan voiced the most promising areas of further cooperation. At the meeting, Tatarstan was represented by executives of Tatneft, Himgrad, KMPO, KAMAZ, Eidos-Medicine, KER-Holding, Innopolis SEZ, and several other organisations.

As a reminder, in June this year President Minnikhanov paid a working visit to Tashkent where he had a meeting with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
