Russian Helicopters, part of Rostec Corporation, and Helix Air Company signed a contract at the MAKS 2021 Show to supply four helicopters. The agreement provides for delivery of Mi-8MTV and Ansat helicopters starting from 2022.
The document was signed by Russian Helicopters Deputy Director General for Sales of Civil Helicopters Yury Matssegor and Deputy Director General for Strategic Development of Helix Vadim Baldin.
The helicopters to be supplied will be operated in the Urals and Western Siberia, ensuring the development of helicopter travel and logistics support for companies in Russia’s fuel and energy complex.
Helix Air Company is one of the oldest airlines operating Russian helicopters. The company was registered in 1991 in Perm. Its air fleet includes 10 Mi-8 helicopters and 3 Il-76 aircraft. The company’s helicopters provide search and rescue services in the Urals (Perm, Ekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk), perform excursion flights in the Northern Urals (Manpopuner Plateau, Dyatlov Pass) and provide logistic support to the fuel and energy companies in the Western Siberia.
Russian Helicopters Holding Company (part of Rostec Corporation) is one of the world leaders in the helicopter industry, the only helicopter developer and manufacturer in Russia. The holding company was established in 2007.
