Today, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the production facilities of the Kazan Helicopters.
A working meeting was held here with the participation of Deputy Minister for Civil Defence, Emergency Management, Natural Disasters Response of Russia Andrey Gurovich and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Oleg Bocharov.
Accompanied by Rustam Minnikhanov, Andrey Gurovich studied aggregate assembly facility and other production sites. Then a meeting was held to discuss the supply of helicopters manufactured by Kazan Helicopters for the EMERCOM.
A meeting was also held to discuss the supply of KAMAZ vehicles to the EMERCOM. These are fire-fighting and rescue vehicles with waterjet cutters, fire-fighting pumping units and hose cars, foam and powder extinguishing tank trucks, as well as fire truck ladders with arrows of 30 to 40 metres high. In addition, the sides discussed development of a promising, brand new KAMAZ-based chassis that is adapted specifically for fire-fighting equipment.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Minister of Civil Defence and Emergency Situations of Tatarstan Rafis Khabibullin, and Managing Director of Kazan Helicopters Aleksey Belykh.
