Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting today in Ankara with Turkish Trade Minister Mehmet Muş.
“We follow closely and with great interest the dynamic development of your country, rejoice in the successes of the brotherly Turkish people with whom we are brought together by historical, cultural, religious, and linguistic commonality,” the Tatarstan President said in his welcoming speech.
He informed that 10 large Turkish factories are successfully operating in Tatarstan. Work on new projects is underway. In turn, a number of Tatarstan companies representing the petrochemical and automotive sectors are exploring the opportunities of implementing investment projects in Turkey.
“Recently, you personally received a delegation of our Tatneft Group. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support and attention to our initiatives,” Rustam Minnikhanov added.
Mehmet Muş, in turn, expressed his intention to support Tatneft's project. “I have already given relevant instructions to my colleagues. These investments are very important for us. We have a great need for petrochemicals,” the Trade Minister said.
