Tatarstan power companies are ready to host Special Olympic Winter Games

Today, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan hosted a regular meeting of the Tatarstan Headquarters for Ensuring Power Supply Security. 

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, representatives of ministries and agencies, and power industry enterprises of Tatarstan.

The meeting discussed power supply reliability for consumers connected under the first and second categories of power supply reliability, especially vital and socially important facilities; approval and implementation of investment programmes by companies in 2021; preparation of the energy infrastructure for the forthcoming world-class events in 2022, the Special Olympics and the Volleyball World Championship; and other issues.

The participants discussed and approved in detail the action plan for preparing the energy supply for the sports venues and infrastructure for the Special Olympics World Winter Games and the 2022 FIVB Volleyball World Championship matches.

As Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Marat Minibayev mentioned, Tatarstan’s energy companies are ready for said events to be held in Kazan.
