Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov is on a working visit to Istanbul (Republic of Turkey) as a member of the Tatarstan delegation. As part of the visit, he had a meeting with representatives of the Association of Turkish Machine Manufacturers (MİB).
The Association consolidates more than 200 Turkish companies producing machinery and equipment for such sectors as food, automotive, wood processing, plastics, construction, and others. The main task of the organisation is to represent the interests of manufacturing companies among the authorities in the country as well as abroad, promote their products in foreign markets, assist in participation in exhibitions, analyse the machine building sector to provide unbiased information to the members of the association, and so on.
During the talks, the Tatarstan President noted that the Republic of Turkey is one of the leading foreign partners of Tatarstan. Last year, the trade turnover exceeded $360 million. President Minnikhanov stressed the importance of personal contacts in order to restore the indicators of cooperation to the pre-pandemic level.
Representatives of the Association visited Kazan in March this year. S. Emre Gencer, Chairman of the Association, said in his welcome speech that Tatarstan is one of the most active regions with developed production.
