Tatarstan become country’s most active region in Labour Productivity project

16 June 2021, Wednesday

Thanks to the coordinated work of its responsible authorities and the activities of the Regional Competence Centre in Labour Productivity, Tatarstan was awarded in The Most Active Region category at the 3rd Productivity 360 Federal Forum held in Nizhny Novgorod.

The Productivity 360 Forum is traditionally Russia’s main venue for sharing experience in the sphere of lean manufacturing and replication of best practices in increasing labour productivity. The Forum was held on June 15-16, 2021 in Nizhny Novgorod, bringing together representatives of Russian governmental authorities, public associations, social organisations, Russian companies leading in building production systems based on lean principles, as well as enterprises participating in the Labour Productivity national project.

Tatarstan is one of the leaders in involving enterprises in the national Labour Productivity project, having joined the number of pilot regions back in 2017 to help enterprises improve their productivity.

By the end of 2020, Tatarstan has outperformed its key indicators. A total of 119 republic’s enterprises are improving their processes within the framework of the Labour Productivity national project (the target by 2024 is to involve 249 enterprises).  About 1.5 times more people have been trained in the basics of lean manufacturing than planned.
