Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov chaired a meeting today at Kazancompressormash on the subject of “Tasks of Introducing Innovations and Diversifying Production in Industrial Enterprises”.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov reported on the results of industrial enterprises in Tatarstan for 4 months of 2021 and their problems in innovative development and diversification.
The industry shipped out RUB 1,155 billion worth of products. The largest share is accounted for by petroleum products, chemicals, petrochemicals, mining products, and mechanical engineering. The index of industrial production in oil refining, chemical industry, and light industry has been growing during the last months.
The head of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade dwelt separately on the tasks facing the defence industry enterprises, recalling that the President of Russia has set a goal to reach 30% of the output of civilian products by 2025.
The issues of innovation and digitalisation were not ignored either. For example, according to surveys conducted by the Ministry in recent years, only a quarter of companies are willing to invest in the development of their own technology and the acquisition of third-party technology. And the proportion of such companies has not grown over the years. The situation is roughly the same for digitalisation.
