During his working trip to Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the ceremony marking the Chemist’s Day.

The event was held at the Neftekhim Arena ice palace. In his welcoming address, Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated current and retired employees of the chemical industry with their professional holiday. “We have a good tradition: we celebrate Chemist’s Day in Nizhnekamsk, visit our enterprises, open new production facilities. Today we have launched three production facilities at TANECO, and we have seen a new project at Nizhnekamskneftekhim. Those are huge investments and state-of-the-art world-class production facilities. This means our petrochemicals will be competitive and have prospects”, the President said.

“Today, Tatarstan is one of the petrochemical centres in our country. We have big plans for the future, I hope we will implement them”, Rustam Minnikhanov added.

The President then presented a number of government awards of Tatarstan to republic’s employees of the chemical and petrochemical sectors.
