The Russian Export Centre is announcing the launch of the “Exporter of the Year” nationwide contest in 2021 and is starting accepting applications.
Participation in the contest is free. Applications can be submitted by large companies, small and midsize businesses, and self-employed individuals. The number of participants in the Exporter of the Year contest grows every year: while about 50 exporters attended it in 2018, there were over 1700 participants in 2020.
The Award winners will be determined in two stages. The winners of the first stage - at the level of each federal district - will be announced from August to September. Then, the winners of the federal contest will be selected from the first-place winners at the district level. The award ceremony for federal stage winners will take place in November at the Made in Russia International Export Forum with the participation of top government officials.
The contest is supported by VEB.RF, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, and the Ministry of Communications of Russia.
The Exporter of the Year Award was established by the Russian Government to encourage organisations and individual entrepreneurs who have achieved exceptional results in export activities. The Award is a symbol of state recognition of exporters’ merits in strengthening the national economy and promoting Russian competitive products in foreign markets.
