22 March 2021, Monday

Kastamonu, Russia’s leading woodworking manufacturer, has launched its third production line. The event took place in March 2021. With the opening of this line, the company will produce a total of 45 million square metres of laminate per year.

Kastamonu’s plant opened in Tatarstan in 2014. During its operation, the company, located in Yelabuga, has invested over USD 771.8 million in the region, making it the largest Turkish investor in the republic and the second largest among the SEZ Alabuga residents. The company produces laminate floorings of wear-resistance class 31 to 33 and various types of MDF boards, including moisture-resistant and fire-resistant ones. The laminate floorings are supplied to 27 countries in Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

The new line at the Kastamonu plant will produce laminate in the most demanded wear-resistance classes - 31, 32, 33, and in the highest class - 34, which was not previously included in the company’s product portfolio. The plant can thus fulfil the widest range of market requirements for both commercial and residential properties, providing materials for various types of premises in accordance with the highest quality and performance requirements.

Over the years, the company has regularly supported environmental initiatives and participated in environment protection activities, cooperating with WWF Russia and the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
