Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting today with a delegation from the Association of Turkish Machine Manufacturers (MİB).
As part of their working visit to Tatarstan, the members of the MİB made a tour of the Unified Presentation Centre at the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency and had meetings with Head of TIDA Talia Minullina, Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, and representatives of the Tatarstan Mechanical Engineering Cluster.
Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that Tatarstan is traditionally considered a developed centre of mechanical engineering. It includes aircraft building, as well as engine building. Tatarstan is the largest manufacturer of KAMAZ trucks. Moreover, Tatarstan produces ships, gas compressor stations, and compressors.
We attach great importance to the development of Tatarstan-Turkish trade, economic and investment cooperation, aimed at strengthening relations between Russia and Turkey, Rustam Minnikhanov stated. Today, a cooperation agreement has been active between Tatarstan and Turkey. The Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey works successfully in Kazan, as well as the representative office of the Republic of Tatarstan in Istanbul. We are interested in seeing Turkish businesses continue to develop their projects in Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov said, and we are prepared to provide all-round support for that.
