10 December 2020, Thursday

Today, the Korston Hotel & Mall saw the award ceremony for the winners of the 16th Fifty Best Innovative Ideas for Tatarstan annual republic’s contest. “The event always arouses great interest. Since 2005, some 23,500 applications have been submitted for the contest, of which 2,300 have won. I would like to point out that despite the organisational difficulties and limitations this year, the contest has confirmed its relevance. A total of 1,934 projects have been announced for participation, of which 175 have been recognised as winners”, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said at the ceremony.

The number of participants grows from year to year. These are people not only from Tatarstan, but also from various regions of Russia, as well as foreign countries. The wide geography of the participants allows attracting the best projects and their creators to Tatarstan. The Tatarstan President specially thanked the companies that in a difficult period acted as partners of the contest and provided grant support to the participants. These are Ak Bars Bank, Tatneftekhiminvestholding, Himgrad, Tatneft, Svyazinvestneftekhim, and IT Park. The contest winners were awarded by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov.

In addition, within the framework of the event, Minister Karimov had a meeting with Minister of Industry and Energy of the Chuvash Republic Yevgeny Gerasimov to discuss issues of bilateral cooperation.
