Deputy Minister German Lerner visited Kazan Cooperative Institute

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan German Lerner visited the Kazan Cooperative Institute, where he inspected the Young Professionals competition sites in the Visual Merchandising skill and talked with the organisers and experts.

Since 2014, the Kazan Cooperative Institute has been an active participant in the WorldSkills professional contest among young people.

To prepare future winners at the Faculty of Secondary Vocational Education of the Kazan Cooperative Institute, there is a special showcase centre based on WorldSkills standards, opened in 2019 with the support from the Tatarstan Government.

Certified WS experts from among the institute’s teachers train participants, including juniors. Among others, Principal of the Kazan Cooperative Institute Alsou Nabieva is a certified WorldSkills Russia expert in the Visual Merchandising skill.

The Visual Merchandising is a science based on knowledge of human psychology, marketing, and advertising. The main task of a visual merchandiser is to attract a consumer with the use of original, creative means of visual demonstration, advertising new products, collections, and promotional products.

The team of the Kazan Cooperative Institute, as part of the Tatarstan team, has been winning the WorldSkills Russia contests since 2015.
