The TGK-16 energy company received a certificate of readiness for the heating season 2020/2021. The document was signed by Deputy Minister of Energy of Russia Yevgeny Grabchak. The certificate confirms that the equipment of TGK-16 stations is ready to carry electrical and thermal loads in the autumn/winter period.
The company, despite the difficult conditions of the pandemic, managed not only to repair the steam-power section equipment in both branches, but also to timely complete the major inspection of the hot-gas-path at the 9HA.01 gas turbine produced by GE of the GTU power unit St. No. 7 at the Kazan CHP-3. To carry out the gas turbine inspection, it was necessary to involve foreign experts from General Electric and Atlas Copco. This was greatly complicated by the closure of the borders.
All operations were completed on schedule. The GTU is connected to the grid and carries a maximum electrical load of 405 MW.
It should be noted that the readiness of power plants for the heating season is determined by a number of parameters, including those related to the technical condition of the equipment and the training of personnel to work during the period of maximum winter loads. This year TGK-16 was assigned a readiness index of 0.99.
The decision on the readiness of an electric power facility for the heating season is taken by the Russian Ministry of Energy based on the results of monitoring readiness indicators. The monitoring is carried out continuously throughout the year.
