For two days, Tatarstan was visited by a delegation from the TVEL Fuel Company of Rosatom headed by Vice President for Strategic Development and Marketing Ilya Galkin. The purpose of the visit was to attract the industrial and scientific potential of Tatarstan enterprises and organisations for the development of company’s non-nuclear businesses.
Tatarstan enterprises, in turn, presented their products, suggested technology solutions in the interests of TVEL, and discussed potential areas of cooperation with representatives of the fuel company.
During the visit, the delegation took tours of the Tatarstan Grid Company, the Kazan Aviation Plant, Tattelecom, the Kazan National Research Technical University (KAI), the Kazan Helicopters, the Zelenodolsk Shipyard, and KAMAZ.
The parties stressed their mutual interest in organising a full-fledged business mission of the Rosatom’s Fuel Division to Tatarstan. Oil production and oil service companies are also ready to discuss potential options for cooperation with TVEL.
The TVEL Fuel Company of Rosatom is one of the world’s largest nuclear fuel producers. The company’s market share is 17%. TVEL fully meets the needs of the Russian nuclear industry. A total of 72 NPP units operate on TVEL fuel in 13 countries worldwide, this is every 6th power reactor.
