More than 300 employees of Tatarstan enterprises have been trained under the Process Factory programme of the Labour Productivity and Employment Support national project to implement the lean production principles. The Process Factory is a training production site where participants, in a real production process, gain hands-on experience in using lean manufacturing and production optimisation tools, and understand how improvements affect operational and economic performance.

Since the opening of the training site in Kazan, which took place in August of this year, a total of 18 Process Factories have been held to train officials and employees of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, as well as experts from 13 enterprises participating in the national project.

Training takes place at the premises of the Regional Competence Centre in a specially equipped classroom. Its main goal is to introduce the lean manufacturing principles in enterprises for the subsequent increase in productivity.

The national project is focused on achieving socially significant results: the introduction of online services into the digital ecosystem of an enterprise participating in the national project; expanding the range of services provided by the Federal Competence Centre and the Regional Competence Centre; formation of an innovator movement with the involvement of WorldSkills experts and infrastructure.
