On August 3, the Kazan City Executive Committee and Novaya Tura Technopolis held meetings with representatives of shopping centres and markets in Tatarstan on the topic: “Mechanism of Interaction between Government Bodies in the Issues on Mandatory Marking of Goods”. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan German Lerner, Deputy Head of the Kazan City Executive Committee Ildar Shakirov, Deputy Head of the Federal Tax Service Office in Tatarstan Andrey Nikitashin, as well as representatives of Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare in Tatarstan and the Chestny Znak company.
As a reminder, from July 1, 2020, the production, imports, wholesale and retail sales of unmarked footwear is prohibited. It becomes mandatory for market participants to submit information about a product put into circulation into the Chestny Znak (“Honest Mark”) marking system. All participants in the turnover are involved in the marking process: manufacturers, importers, retailers, and wholesalers.
Market participants were initially given a certain period to carry out marking of residues and begin a full-fledged circulation of only-marked goods. Each market participant should connect to the Chestny Znak marking system, learn how to receive marking codes and mark all footwear products.
After September 1, the sales of unmarked footwear is completely prohibited.
