Ford Sollers and the Ministry of Health of Tatarstan have a long-term relationship, during which the ambulances based on Ford Transit have proven themselves to be excellent. The first order from the Ministry came in 2012, and over the past 3 years, Ford Sollers has produced about 300 ambulances for the needs of the region. The choice in favour of Ford Transit was made owing to the high reliability of the vehicles, their full adaptation to operation in Russian conditions, their opportunity of equipping in accordance with any customer’s needs, as well as the low cost of service and the availability of a developed dealer network in the region.

The vehicles are based on a front-wheel drive all-metal Ford Transit van with a long wheelbase, a 2.2 L (125 hp) diesel engine, and a 6-speed manual transmission.

Class B ambulances based on Ford Transit are equipped under uр-to-date requirements of the Russian Ministry of Health. The complete set of the vehicle includes: a lung ventilator, a defibrillator, an electrocardiograph with microprocessor control and automatic ECG processing with the possibility of remote data transmission, a wheelchair for transporting patients, and other necessary equipment. The hi-tech equipment of the vehicles is complemented by the GLONASS satellite navigation system and tablet computers. The ambulances have all the conditions for resuscitation and intensive care.
