Keel-laying ceremony at Zelenodolsk Shipyard

On October 25, the Gorky Zelenodolsk Shipyard saw the ceremony of laying down two vessels of the BLV03 project for the needs of the Directorate of the State Customer for Marine Transport Development Programmes.

The vessels were named “Alexander Parfyonov” and “Vsevolod Peresypkin” in honour of academicians of transport, directors of marine industry institutions, LenMorNIIProekt and the Central Marine Research and Design Institute.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Timur Samatov, Acting Director General of the SCMTDP Directorate Anatoly Mishanov, Head of the Zelenodolsk Executive Committee Mikhail Afanasyev, Director General of the Zelenodolsk Shipyard Aleksandr Karpov, and other officials.

The guests were granted the honorary right to install builder’s plates to the hulls of the new vessels.

Vessels of the BLV03 project, developed by the Marine Engineering Bureau, are Ice3 class danlayers. It is expected that they will be involved in work in the waters of the Northern Sea Route ports in order to ensure the safety of navigation and the development of port infrastructure.
