Russian Helicopters holding (part of the Rostec Corporation) takes part in the Russia-Africa Economic Forum being held on October 23-24, 2019 in Sochi. The Holding’s display located in the Manufacturing Industry area features an upgraded Mi-35P attack helicopter, a civil multi-purpose Ansat in executive version, and a mobile service centre for repairing Mi-8/17 helicopters.
African countries operate more than 250 helicopters of the Mi-24/35 type. The Holding offers all its interested African partners upgraded Mi-35P helicopters with new engines, updated sighting and navigation, and an expanded armament system.
More than half of Soviet and Russian-made helicopters in Africa are aircraft of the world-famous Mi-8/17 family of various modifications. Container-type mobile service centres are designed to carry out major repairs of Mi-8/17 helicopters and their modifications at customers’ aviation bases. The centres can be deployed anywhere without a power source: they are equipped with their own diesel generator.
From the civilian line of Russian Helicopters, the Forum features the lightweight multi-purpose Ansat in executive version with a luxury cabin. It has one of the largest cabins in its class that can be used for cargo, passenger and medevac transportation, S&R operations, and patrols.
