Republic’s Industrial Park won an all-Russian contest

Technopolis Himgrad became the winner of the All-Russian Professional Contest for Best Architectural and Urban Planning Concepts in the Industrial Park Design. Brownfield category.

The award ceremony was held on October 18, 2019 as part of the 45th meeting of the Council for Chief Architects of Russian Federation Constituent Entities and Municipalities in the Gostiny Dvor of Moscow.

The fundamental objective of the contest was to seek promising integrated urban development solutions necessary for a balanced and rapid spatial development of Russia with due account taken for global integrated sustainable development goals.

The most important criteria for identifying the best urban development practices were innovative and regionally sensitive approaches. The proposed architectural and urban planning concepts were evaluated as a territorial development tool consistent with the UN sustainable development goals.

A total of 63 applications were submitted for participation by project teams, development agencies and municipal authorities from 34 cities and 7 regions of the country. In total, ten industrial parks took part in the contest, six of which are members of the Association of Industrial Parks of Russia.
