This year, the city of Kazan will host the finals of the 45th WorldSkills Competition. On the eve of this 2019 championship, representatives of the Professional Skills Development Centre have interviews with heads of sectoral ministries and agencies that supervise the WorldSkills events.
A total of 52 skills in such areas as mechatronics, industrial automation, fashion technology, welding technology, industrial robotics, and others were assigned to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan.
Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov was interviewed today. In his speech, he dwelled on the importance of developing the WorldSkills movement and supporting young professionals in Tatarstan, as well as the positive impact of the movement on the republic’s industry development.
Minister Karimov also spoke about the most sought-after trades and priority skills of the WorldSkills movement. Such, in his opinion, are those associated with digital production and digital economy. At the end of his interview, the Minister shared his experience in choosing a profession, and answered several personal questions.
The WorldSkills finals will be held in Kazan from 22 to 27 August 2019. A total of 1400 people from 63 countries will be competitors in 56 skills.
