16 July 2019, Tuesday

With the framework of their programme, the workshop participants visited the Gorky Zelenodolsk Shipyard. In 2017, the company was selected from among the participants of the priority programme “Improving Labour Productivity and Employment Support in Tatarstan in 2017-2025” as a pilot enterprise for implementing the best industry’s and global lean manufacturing practices by experts of the Rosatom Production System.

As pilot projects for the development of new methodology, Hull Fitting Shop No. 8 and Piping Shop No. 6 were identified.

During the presentation of Hull Fitting Shop No. 8 and Piping Shop No. 6, the delegates were told about the intermediate results of using Lean Production tools aimed at improving labour productivity in these areas.

Last year, a lot of work was done on the digitisation project in Shop No. 6. In the pre-production contour, the automated warehouse stock recording system was introduced for inventory items arriving from the central warehouse and assemblies, parts, and components arriving from manufacturing shops.

During the visit, the guests made a tour of the company’s production departments and studied the latest developments and promising projects in the shipyard.
