A briefing held today in the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers was devoted to the results of Tatarstan delegation activities at the 2019 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The briefing was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Head of TIDA Taliya Minullina, Deputy Minister of Economy of Tatarstan Indira Kireyeva.
The programme of the Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov was traditionally rich. Important agreements have been signed for the development of industrial, trade and economic relations with Russian and international corporations, and a number of meetings took place at the highest level with the heads of Russian regions and foreign states.
Within the framework of the Tatarstan exhibition display, such projects were presented as the PharmMedPolis of Tatarstan, the Mechanical Engineering cluster, the WorldSkills 2019 contest, the Factory of Entrepreneurship, and others.
The SPIEF 2019 was held on June 6 to 8, 2019 at the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre. This year, the SPIEF 2019 broke the attendance record in both the number and the composition of its participants: it gathered more than 19,000 people, including over 3,500 foreign visitors from 145 countries. More than 170 events took place in various formats, all united under a motto “Shaping the Sustainable Development Agenda”. The largest foreign delegations at the SPIEF 2019 were those of China and the USA.
