This afternoon, a workshop titled “Developing Gas-Engine Fuel Market: Experience, Problems, Outlook” was held within the framework of the TEF 2019 with the participation of executives from the Russian Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, and representatives of more than 40 regions of Russia responsible for gas motor development in their areas.
In his speech, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Anton Inyutsyn noted that there are all conditions in Tatarstan to be a model and a success story in developing the natural gas fuel market. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov spoke about the Tatarstan’s experience of gas fuel market development. Advisor of the Project Management and Support Department at the Russian Ministry of Energy Dmitry Melnikov dwelled on the key characteristics of the preferential vehicle conversion programme, its timing, as well as on the programme planning for 2020 and its potential changes.
In total, more than 15 reports were heard from representatives of executive authorities and commercial sector involved in gas fuel market development, not only from Russia, but also from Armenia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus.
The workshop caused an active discussion between its participants and ended with an exchange of views in the face-to-face format.
