The Kazan Helicopters was visited by senior students of Kazan schools, as well as children from different schools of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), who came on a tour to Kazan. In the Labour Glory Museum, schoolchildren were told about the history of one of the country’s largest helicopter manufacturing enterprises. The children were also shown all helicopters produced by the company since 1952.
During the school holidays, the Kazan Helicopters was also visited by participants of the 4th All-Russian Convention of Young Inventors. They made a tour of the factory museum and the assembly shop, where they were told about the helicopter manufacturing process, from computer drawings to a finished rotorcraft. The schoolchildren saw how Mi-8/17, Ansat, and Mi-38 helicopters are made.
On the initiative of the Kazan Helicopters, a “helicopter” class has been functioning since 2009 in Kazan Gymnasium No. 8 with an in-depth study of physics and mathematics. Children in this class have good prospects for entering technical colleges, including those focused on aviation. In September 2014, the company announced the opening of another “helicopter” class in School No. 54 of Kazan. In these classes, experienced teachers traditionally prepare students for scientific conferences and applied competitions on relevant subjects, conduct additional classes in maths and physics, organise tours and other events.
