Kazan State Power Engineering University celebrates its 50th anniversary

Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov sent a congratulatory telegram to the staff of the Kazan State Power Engineering University.

We congratulate the Kazan State Power Engineering University on its anniversary! For half a century, KSPEU has been successfully training professionals for the energy sector of the Volga and the Urals!

On behalf of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, I sincerely congratulate you on the University’s anniversary; it is important today to preserve your experience and professional uniqueness for the benefit of Tatarstan. I wish the entire KSPEU staff successful development, well-being, and prosperity!

In honour of its round-figure anniversary, the University organised a special press tour with the participation of representatives from city’s and republic’s mass media.

The Kazan branch of the Moscow Power Engineering Institute was opened on July 18, 1968. During its half-century history, many things have changed: now, KSPEU has four institutes with 474 teachers and 9826 students, the number of foreign trainees has increased to 350 a year; the University boasts of 29 scientific centres and thematic research laboratories.
