On March 15 in Kazan, the Kazan State Power Engineering University hosted a Youth Day event within the framework of the 18th International Symposium “Energy & Resource Efficiency and Energy Saving”.

The Youth Day’s programme was very extensive. For the first time, the meeting of the Energy Industry Youth Council was held there, which was attended by active representatives of the energy community. In addition, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Almaz Khusainov, Chief Technology Officer at Tatenergo Ilshat Galimzyanov, Deputy Director General for Corporate Policies at Tatenergo Roman Bulatov, and Director at the Tatarstan Centre for Energy Saving Technologies Evgeny Martynov took part in an informal meeting.

The meetings dealt with the issues of digital transformation in education, experts discussed new trends in industrial digitalisation, large-scale projects of energy companies, and how the world is changing around under the conditions of the Industry 4.0. Students were active in asking questions and were given exhaustive answers in a relaxed atmosphere.

Besides, an award ceremony took place for the “We Opt for Energy Efficiency” contest (aimed at selecting the best ideas and developments in the field of energy saving) and for the “Business – Energy” educational quest project.

The Youth Day ended with a tour of scientific laboratories and classrooms of KSPEU.
