The Alabuga-Development company, a subsidiary of SEZ Alabuga, established to provide general subcontracting services to residents, reported the completion dates of the first order. The construction of the plant building for substrate production will be completed by the end of April 2018. The customer and construction investor is Rockwool-Volga, a current resident of the SEZ Alabuga.
Alabuga-Development continues the construction of its first project, the building of the Grodan substrate production plant. The plant construction was initiated and 100% funded by Rockwool Russia, a resident of the SEZ Alabuga, and Rockwool International A/S. The investment to the plant construction is about RUB 500 million. The plant producing Grodan mineral wool substrate is an investment created for import substitution, since as of now the substrate is supplied from Holland.
The plant construction was launched in September 2017; the construction launch ceremony was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. During the ceremony, he stressed that the new plant will produce a product in great demand, a stone wool substrate, which is intended to fill the needs of both Tatarstan and the Russian market in general.
