Exporters can partially compensate their costs for transportation along export routes from Vorsino (Kaluga Region) to Dalian, Shilong, and Chengdu (PRC). These export routes were developed by the Russian Export Centre in partnership with RZD Logistics, TransContainer, and Freight Village RU.
These routes give the following unique advantages to customers who have trade relations with China: cargo delivery by rail is 14-16 days compared to delivery by sea (40 to 60 days); cost of cargo delivery by rail is close to the cost of shipping by sea; trains depart every 2 weeks.
The amount of compensation is up to 50% of actually incurred costs (within the limits established for different types of containers) and should not exceed 50% of the cost of transported agricultural and food products.
The exact formula for calculating the amount of compensation, the list of product codes for which compensation is sought, and other conditions for obtaining it are set forth in the Rules for Granting Subsidies from the Federal Budget to Russian Organisations to Partially Compensate Costs of Transporting Agricultural and Food Products by Land, Including Rail Transport, as approved by the Government Resolution No. 1104 of September 15, 2017.
