Today, the Kazan National Research Technological University hosted the international round table discussion within the framework of the Tatarstan Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals Forum titled “Staffing of Enterprises in the Petrochemical Sector: Issues for the Development of Engineering Pedagogics”.
The round table was attended by 130 representatives of the scientific and educational communities from Russia, the United States, and other countries. Its programme comprised more than 30 reports on the issues of staffing of petrochemical enterprises, the development of engineering education in Russia and the world in the context of the information-oriented society, the organisation of cooperation between universities and industries in the training of qualified personnel.
The round table programme also included a working meeting between representatives of the universities supporting Gazprom, the annual meeting of the Russian Monitoring Committee IGIP, and an editorial board meeting of the Higher Education in Russia journal.
On September 8, the event will be continued with a master class by RAO Academician Andrei Verbitsky (Moscow) on topical issues of the engineering education development, and a round table discussion moderated by the Editor-in-Chief of the Higher Education in Russia journal, Mikhail Sapunov.
