Starting from today, mass vaccination against coronavirus has begun in Tatarstan.

“Anyone can get a Covid-19 vaccine after registering at a local health centre”, the press service of the Ministry of Health of Tatarstan confirmed to the Tatar-Inform News Agency.

One ampoule of the Sputnik V vaccine is intended for five people, while the expiration date after its opening is only two hours, so Tatarstan citizens should take a responsible approach to vaccination after the registration and come to the medical facility at the appointed time.

Sputnik V is a two-phase vaccine, after the first visit for vaccination one will need to come again in 21 days. If acute respiratory viral infection symptoms appear between the two phases, vaccination will have to be interrupted, so you should be doubly careful of your health.

Antibodies to coronavirus are expected to appear two weeks after the second vaccination.

In the rating of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation for implementing the activities of the Targeted Support for Increasing Labour Productivity at Enterprises federal project by regional competence centres, the Republic of Tatarstan ranked among Top 3 from 26 regions of Russia. A place in the rating is assigned according to such criteria as level of satisfaction with a regional competence centre (RCC) activities, compliance with project implementation schedule, fulfilment of plans for completing projects, and the staffing level.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, a total of 105 enterprises of the basic non-resource sectors of the economy are participants in the national project, while the target for 2024 is the involvement of 249 organisations.

The national project’s operator in our republic is the Tatarstan’s Regional Competence Centre for Labour Productivity established in 2017. The regional centre has successfully implemented more than 50 projects to increase productivity in various sectors of the republic’s economy. The RCC staff includes highly professional expert practitioners.

To conduct practical training for employees of enterprises participating in the national project in 2020, the Process Factory was created, an up-to-date training production site, where participants can gain experience in using lean manufacturing tools and study the mechanisms affecting the improvements in operational and economic performance. Some 350 employees have completed the training already.

Some 40 people from 20 enterprises of Tatarstan visited the Kalashnikov Group on Thursday. The delegation included representatives of such major businesses as Tatneft, KAMAZ, Kazancompressormash, the Kazan Motor-Building Production Association, the Kazan Helicopters, KNIAT, Saturn, Eidos-Medicine, RIAT, and others.

The greatest interest of the industrialists from Tatarstan was aroused by the Group’s latest development, a hybrid processing centre. It combines direct laser cladding with metal powders and machining of parts. The equipment is designed to overcome technological limitations of traditional technologies, to shorten the cycle of product launch by 3-4 times, and to control properties of the products.

Machine tools of this class are only manufactured by five companies in the world, including Kalashnikov. For the first time, the Group presented this development at the Army 2020 International Military-Technical Forum.

The Kazan International Airport has summed up the results of participation in the Labour Productivity national project in 2020. With the assistance of experts from the Federal Competence Centre (FCC), several new process solutions and measures were implemented at the airport, which made it possible to improve production processes, as well as to replicate the experience gained.

The Kazan International Airport joined the national project in June 2019 and became the first participant in the project from among airports and civil aviation companies.

In the first six months of participation in the national project, the airport has introduced lean manufacturing tools into the work process. In 2020, the airport replicated the experience gained from the pilot stream. To improve the efficiency of aircraft maintenance processes and the quality of services provided, a new unit was created, the apron service dispatcher (supervisor). Another effective solution at the airport is the relocation of the parking lot for special vehicles, which is involved in ground handling of aircraft, closer to the passenger apron.

As part of the national project, airport managers were trained under the Productivity Leaders programme: 17 people successfully completed the training course, as a result of which two projects were presented: “Increasing Labour Productivity by Improving Production Organisation and Introducing Managerial Innovations” and “Strategy for Increasing Air Freight Transportation Volumes Through Creation of Warehouse Infrastructure”. These projects are already being actively implemented.

The Kazan Helicopters of the Russian Helicopters Holding (part of the Rostec Corporation) summed up the results of the professional skill contest for the “Best in Profession” title. A total of 30 participants fought for the honorary title, their work was evaluated by 21 experts.

The contest was held in six skills, such as Aircraft Assembly, Labour Protection, Process Engineer, Aircraft Electrical Wiring, Manufacturing Team Challenge, and Electrical Installations. The youngest of the skills is the Labour Protection; it was attended by engineering and technical personnel who are responsible for labour protection activities in their units.

Participation in the professional skills contest is not only an opportunity to improve professional skills, but also to work one’s way up. The one who wins a prize is automatically assigned the next qualifying category, if there is a corresponding vacant staffing position. If there is none yet, then the holder of the Best in Profession title becomes the first applicant for promotion.

The in-house Best in Profession contest is a qualifying stage for many professional skills competitions, including city, republic’s and WorldSkills and WorldSkills Hi-Tech contests. In 2020, the Kazan Helicopters team took the 1st place in the Life Cycle Management skill at the 5th Corporate Professional Skills Contest of the Russian Helicopters Holding and the 2nd place in the RostecSkills contest.
