On 25 March 2016, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting with Rainer Jueckstock, Co-chairman of Federal-Mogul Holdings` Board of Directors and Director General of Federal-Mogul Powertrain. The meeting was attended by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Director General of PAO KAMAZ Sergey Kogogin, Aide to the Tatarstan President Albert Nafigin, and others.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects of cooperation between Tatarstan and Federal-Mogul in mechanical engineering, in particular, manufacture of heavy duty trucks and set of equipment for the automotive industry.
On 24 March 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov takes part in the Congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) which takes place in Moscow. Russian President Vladimir Putin takes the floor at the plenary session of the Congress and takes part in a conversation with members of the RSPP Bureau.
The congress is held within the framework of the Russian Business Week and is its major event. During this authoritative forum, the participants are discussing current priorities of the Russian business, business environment issues, and issues of investment activity promotion through public-private partnerships and development institutions.
On 23 March 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov participated in the meeting of OAO Tatneftekhiminvest-holding`s Board of Directors. The meeting was chaired by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
At the meeting, attendees were presented an investment project for the creation of an innovative heavy oil processing unit. The project was developed by OOO Beta Technology, a resident of the Skolkovo Innovation Centre.
On 23 March 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov met with the delegation from Thuringia, Germany.
The meeting held in the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, was attended by top officials of the Protocol Department of the Prime Minister of Thuringia, the International Relations Department of the State Chancellery of the Prime Minister of Thuringia, Ministry of Economic Affairs, Science, and Digital Society of Thuringia.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of organizing and holding the oncoming visit to Tatarstan of the Thuringian delegation headed by Bodo Ramelow, the Prime Minister of the Free State of Thuringia scheduled from 19 to 21 April 2016.
On 23 March 2016, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov chaired the meeting of the Tatarstan Security Council on the issues of food security.
The meeting of the Tatarstan Security Council was attended by Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Akhmetov, Secretary of the Tatarstan Security Council Ayrat Shafigullin, top officials of Tatarstan ministries and agencies, and heads of Tatarstan municipalities.
On 23 March 2016, the Kazanskaya Yarmarka Exhibition Centre hosted the opening ceremony of the 2nd International Conference “Models of Innovative Development of Textile and Light Industries Based on Integration of University Science and Manufacturing Industry” which brought together more than 50 representatives from the regions of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan and representatives of Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, China, and Egypt. Participants included top executives of enterprises, representatives of academic community, educational cluster, unions, agencies, and ministries.
On 22 March 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov visited OAO Tatenergosbyt. In late 2015, OAO Tatenergosbyt was recognized the “Best Russian Power Supply Company” among 48 companies from 39 regions.
The company is a guaranteeing electricity supplier in the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan. As a member of the Russian wholesale and retail electricity market, Tatenergosbyt buys electricity on the wholesale electricity market for its subsequent sales to consumers in the Republic of Tatarstan.
The company comprises nine subsidiaries: Almetyevsk, Bugulma, Buinsk, Yelabuga, Trans-Volga, Chistopol, Kama, Naberezhnye Chelny, and Kazan branches.
The average number of personnel in 2015 amounted to 1,144 people.
Net electricity supply in 2015 totalled 15,972 million kWh.
On 21 March 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov participated in the meeting of Economic Council under the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers. The meeting was chaired by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
The meeting attendees discussed the issues of designing the infrastructure helping adapt scientific research works to industrial production, commercialization of technology and expertise in the Republic of Tatarstan. The meeting in the Video Conferencing format was attended by representatives of all municipal districts of the republic.
On 21 March 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov chaired the second interagency task force meeting on implementation of Federal laws in ensuring security and antiterrorism protection at fuel and energy complex facilities.
On 21 March 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov awarded Fail Fattakhov, Deputy Head of the Department for Defence Complex of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade with the commemorative medal for his contribution in preparing and holding the 22nd Winter Olympic Games and the 11th Paralympic Winter Games 2014 in Sochi.
