In early 2021, Aconit-Ural, the borrower of IDF (Industry Development Fund managed by VEB.RF) produced the first batch of rollers used in industrial conveyors for transporting copper, stone, coal, and other cargo at a new plant in Yelabuga.
At the end of 2019, the IDF provided the company with a soft loan under the Development Projects programme of RUB 250 million at 1% per annum. The project’s total budget exceeded RUB 700 million, with the commissioned line capacity of 1 million products per year.
The new production facility has a high level of automation through the use of latest process equipment. This allows reducing the impact of the human factor, to increase efficiency and to ensure 100% quality control of products.
Previously, rollers used for assembly of the conveyors were mainly of foreign origin, German and Chinese. Thanks to the launch of the new facility, the share of imported components will drop to about 60%.
The first batch of rollers was supplied to the Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant, one of the largest steel makers in Russia. The products will also be supplied to the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works, Severstal, NLMK, coal mining companies in Kuzbass, mining, gold mining, metal, and construction industries.
The Sustainable Energy and Power Engineering 2021 international symposium (SUSE-2021) will be held on February 18 to 20 at the Kazan State Power Engineering University.
The event will take place in distance and face-to-face formats. A total of 288 applications have been submitted for presentations at the event, with more than 800 participants. About 40 university representatives will take part in the Symposium in the face-to-face format. Participant countries are 14 regions of Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Italy, Bulgaria, etc.
The speakers will present scientific and applied research in the field of energy and outline the prospects for international cooperation. The Symposium will provide a forum to discuss the main challenges faced by the energy sector to further develop practical solutions for hydrogen and renewable energy, energy sustainability, and power engineering,
The Symposium will include the first meeting of the Consortium for Technical Education of Russia and Kazakhstan, a public organisation that will unite technical universities of the two countries to become an effective platform in the field of professional higher education in technical fields within the framework of the Intergovernmental Commission for Cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Consortium’s work will be coordinated by the KSPEU.
A Ford Transit van was awarded a diploma at the prestigious All-Russian 100 Best Goods of Russia contest in the Capital Goods category and can now be awarded the 100 Best Goods of Russia mark.
The 100 Best Goods of Russia is a nationwide award organised by Rosstandart and the Academy of Quality Problems, an interregional public organisation. The aim of the contest is to support processes to improve the quality and competitiveness of domestic goods and services. The contest was held this year for the 23rd time.
The Ford Transit mobile vending vehicle was nominated for the contest by Sollers Ford’s partner, the ST Alabuga bodybuilder, which directly builds special versions of Ford Transit-based vehicles.
The truck is a special version built on the extra-long chassis of Ford Transit with GVW of 4700 kg. The vehicle is equipped with a 2.2-litre diesel engine rated at 155 hp, rear-wheel drive and manual 6-speed transmission. The large interior volume of the van allows a flexible use of working space. The vehicle is equipped with standard and refrigerated cabinets, shelves, containers, a sink with an autonomous water supply system, a tilting counter table, and a protective mobile “visor” outside the vehicle. At the customer’s request, the list of equipment can be modified to suit the purpose and function of the truck.
Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan German Lerner had a meeting today with First Deputy Governor of the Vladimir Region Aleksandr Remiga. The meeting was held on the premises of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan.
During the meeting, parties outlined further steps for the development of interregional cooperation.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov visited the Vysokogorsky District today. During his visit, he inspected the production facilities of Usady Distillery and took part in the 6th meeting of the Council of Vysokogorsky Municipal District.
According to Minister Karimov, the Vysokogorsky District ranks 11th in socio-economic development of municipal and urban districts of Tatarstan. The volume of shipped products exceeded RUB 13 billion. The industrial production index was 97.3 percent for the year.
Vysokogorsky District takes an active part in implementing national projects and government programmes of Tatarstan. For instance, kindergartens are being constructed, schools are being renovated, and sports infrastructure is being developed. Efforts are underway to provide primary healthcare to residents of rural settlements.
Today, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan German Lerner had a meeting on bilateral cooperation with representatives of Yandex.Market. The meeting was held on the premises of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Economy of Tatarstan Natalia Kondratova, Head of Department for Development of Support Institutes for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses at the Tatarstan Ministry of Economy Artur Gaynov, and Head of Department at the Tatarstan Territorial Authority of the Federal Service for Supervision of Healthcare Gulnaz Sayfullina.
During the meeting, the parties assessed the development of logistics infrastructure and the creation of attractive conditions for suppliers in Tatarstan, as well as the prospects for online trade in pharmaceutical products.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov visited Mamadysh District today. He toured the production of metal ware, which is supplied all over the country, up to the republics of Yakutia and Karelia. The AIF Group company is engaged in the production of eight types of corrugated boards and two types of sandwich panels.
Guests of the town visited an exhibition of Mamadysh District manufacturers in the District House of Culture. The products are renowned for their quality both in Tatarstan and all over the country. Fish, fruit, vegetables, fur, alcohol, souvenirs, and many other things are produced by local craftsmen. Minister Karimov was particularly attracted to Mamadysh lemonade. “Taste of childhood”, he noted.
The 5th meeting of the Mamadysh Municipal District Council was held in the Assembly Hall. Anatoly Ivanov, head of the District, made a report. He pointed out that last year the industrial production index in the district was 106%. The amount of shipped goods, performed works, and rendered services increased by 17% to RUB 9,813 million.
“Despite the pandemic, Mamadysh people managed to make progress in almost all spheres in 2020”, said Minister Karimov.
The volume of shipped products in Mamadysh District has grown by 17%. It has made a significant contribution to stabilising the economy of Tatarstan.
KAMAZ today is a leader in Russian truck engineering. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said so today at the celebrations dedicated to the 45th anniversary of production of the first KAMAZ truck. The ceremony took place in Naberezhnye Chelny on the site of the main assembly line of the Automotive Plant.
President Minnikhanov said that KAMAZ company is an example of production development. “In a very difficult period, under the conditions of fierce competition, KAMAZ continues to expand its presence in the market. It is a systematic work; it is the foundation laid by our veterans. We are proud of KAMAZ; we wish you prosperity and further vigorous development”, the Tatarstan President said.
As part of the official event, retired and current employees of the plant were honoured. Rustam Minnikhanov presented state awards of Tatarstan to KAMAZ veterans and plant workers.
Construction of the Kama Automotive Plant started on December 13, 1969. The giant was built at a record pace and on February 16, 1976 the first vehicle, KAMAZ-5320 high-sided truck, rolled off the assembly line. This first KAMAZ truck worked in Bashkortostan for many years, and then it was repurchased and restored, now being a valuable museum exhibit of the company.
On February 13, the Committee for Interethnic Relations and Friendly Ties with Foreign Countries under the Uzbekistani Cabinet of Ministers hosted a literary evening, dedicated to the 115th anniversary of Hero of the Soviet Union, poet Musa Jalil, organised by the Tatar Public Cultural and Educational Centre in Tashkent. A documentary about Musa Jalil “Sentenced to Immortality” was shown, created at the request of the Tatar community of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.
Musa Jalil’s poems and songs in Uzbek, Russian, Ukrainian, Tatar, and Bashkir were performed by participants and guests of the meeting. A virtual acquaintance was held with the exhibitions of the Musa Jalil and Sharif Kamal museums in Kazan.

Minister Karimov briefed participants on the results of the republic’s socio-economic development in 2020 and outlined the main tasks for the coming year.
Director of the TECHNO Plant branch in Zainsk Andrey Mamontov, Deputy General Director of Agrosila for Zainsky Sugar Anton Troshin, and Director of the Centralised Library System Sariya Batrshina spoke about the activities of their organisations in the current year and plans for the future.
