Dear current and retired employees of the republic’s energy sector! I sincerely congratulate you on your professional holiday, the Power Industry Worker’s Day!
Energy is the most important sector in our country. A reliable energy infrastructure has been created in the republic, owing to which all branches of the economy and industry are progressing smoothly. The businesses and the population of Tatarstan are uninterruptedly supplied with electric and thermal energy. Some 27 billion kWh of electric and some 34 million GCal of thermal energy are generated by the republic’s stations.
Let me express my sincere gratitude to those who stood at the origins of the industry and worked selflessly and conscientiously for many years - to our long-standing employees of the Tatarstan’s energy complex. While cherishing these glorious traditions, a new generation of Tatarstan’s energy workers now continues to develop our energy system, ensuring reliability and uninterrupted power supply.
Today, over 16,000 people are employed in large enterprises of the energy sector. In the context of industry’s modernisation, the energy industry workforce faces important strategic tasks. Therefore, it is very important that the energy sector has high-class specialists working in it.

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov
On behalf of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade and on my personal behalf, I am glad to congratulate you on your professional holiday, the Salesperson Day!
The role of trade in the economy of Tatarstan could hardly be overestimated. In the structure of GDP, it accounts for 12.7%. More than 17,000 trade enterprises of various formats are involved in the republic’s trade industry, the number of employees is about 315,000.
Trade is one of the oldest and largest sectors of the world economy. Over the past decades, trade technologies have changed more than in the millennia of its existence. Every few years, new ways appear in the retail trade to interact with the buyer. Over time, the consumers have changed themselves, being more demanding about the quality of goods, assortment and service. Therefore, it is important to monitor trends in the industry and timely adjust business processes in these areas.
It is thanks to your work that the availability of goods increases every day, the quality of service improves, and the needs of customers are most fully satisfied.
Please accept our words of appreciation for your daily contribution to the sustainable development of trade sector. I wish you happiness, health, effective demand, and grateful buyers!
