Dear current and retired employees of the Customs Service!

On behalf of the Government of Tatarstan and on my personal behalf, I congratulate you on your professional holiday, Russian Customs Day.

For more than three hundred years, customs officials have been serving citizens, protecting the country’s economic interests. The customs service has the most important tasks of protecting national security, increasing the competitiveness of the national economy in the interests of the State, ensuring its sovereignty, and regulating foreign trade relations for the good of the country.

In the light of globalisation processes, customs operations are becoming increasingly relevant and important. The activities of customs service employees contribute largely to the protection of human life safety and the entire environment.

On this holiday, I would also like to express our warm words of gratitude to industry’s retired employees who laid a solid foundation for the customs service of today.

I congratulate all the employees of the Tatarstan’s customs service on their professional holiday and wish you peaceful service, good health, family well-being, and every success in your life!
