A delegation from the Federal State of Bavaria (Germany) arrived in Tatarstan on a working visit. A visit to Tatarstan had an aim of developing economic relations between Bavaria and Russia. The delegation was headed by Mr. Hubert Aiwanger, Bavarian State Minister of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy and Deputy Bavarian Prime Minister. The German delegation included representatives of more than 20 German companies from various industries.
In his welcoming speech, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov noted that the republic is a home for offices of leading Bavarian enterprises, such as Siemens AG, Linde AG, KUKA, which enjoy successful experience of cooperation with enterprises in Tatarstan.
According to Mr. Aiwanger, Germany is now at the stage of transforming a number of industries. In particular, the question arises in the automotive industry in which direction to develop their technology. He also noted that in Bavaria they are actively phasing out the use of coal by developing “green” energy sources, while deciding how to reduce power consumption with a greater production of thermal energy.
The forum also saw a presentation of the investment and industrial potential in Tatarstan, a case study on cooperation experience with German partners, and speeches by members of the Bavarian delegation.
