Today, the Kazanskaya Yarmarka Exhibition Centre hosted the official opening of the 14th International Foundry Congress.
An important event for the Russian foundry sector brought together domestic and foreign industry experts, including representatives from the BRICS countries, as well as from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Belarus, Germany, Italy, the USA, England, Turkey, the Czech Republic, and other countries.
Participants of the Casting 2019 international exhibition placed their displays in the exhibition pavilions. The stands also presented manufacturers from Tatarstan and Russia: Zelenodolsk Shipyard, KAMAZ Foundry Plant, Kazancompressormash, Siblitmash and others, as well as foreign companies, a total of 39 enterprises.
The first day of the Congress programme saw a plenary meeting on pressing issues in the foundry sector. Presentations were made by leading industry’s experts, such as President of the Russian Foundry Association (RFA) Ivan Dibrov, Chairman of the RFA Standardisation Committee Valeriya Ivanova, and others. Deputy Minister Ildar Mingaleyev also presented his report on the progress and development prospects of the foundry sector in Tatarstan.
The Congress will run until September 12th. The second day will be devoted to sectional meetings in areas such as foundry alloys, production of moulds and cores, and special types of castings.
In the period from September 9 to September 12, 2019, the Kazanskaya Yarmarka Exhibition Centre will host the 14th International Foundry Congress and the Casting 2019 International Exhibition.
The event is organised by the Russian Foundry Association, the Tatarstan Government, the Tatarstan Republic’s Branch of the Russian Foundry Association with the support from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
The eventful programme of the congress comprises plenary sessions and sectional meetings. The sections will be organised in three areas:
Section No. 1: Foundry alloys;
Section No. 2: Production of moulds and cores;
Section No. 3: Special types of castings.
In addition, the congress participants will have an opportunity to visit the production sites of such industrial enterprises in Tatarstan as KAMAZ, Zelenodolsk Shipyard, and Kazancompressormash.
The official opening of the 14th International Foundry Congress will be held on September 10 at 9:00. We invite all foundry experts to participate!

Today, the Tatarstan Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals Forum hosted a plenary meeting of the International Applied Science Conference “Hydrocarbon and Mineral Raw Materials Potential of the Crystalline Basement”.
Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov made a welcoming speech at the Conference. The Conference was chaired by Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov. Noting the importance of this event, the Minister said that “the Forum will become a key place for a constructive dialogue between top-level professionals, authoritative experts, and representatives of regional authorities, will provide a unique opportunity for a comprehensive discussion of complicated industry’s issues and the compiling of a list of practically useful recommendations”.
More than 100 reports on issues related to seeking reserves for replenishment of hydrocarbon resources were presented at the conference today. The reports were delivered by representatives of both foreign countries (Uzbekistan, Canada, etc.) and constituent entities of Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg, etc.).
Later on, the Forum participants and guests will find an extensive programme: scientific and practical conferences on sensitive issues of the petrochemical industry, round table discussions, and workshops.
