On September 20, the Lenin Culture and Leisure Complex hosted the opening of a photo exhibition entitled “People of Labour”. The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, administration of the Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinovsky districts of Kazan, and other officials.
The thematic exhibition was organised by the Gorbunov Kazan Aviation Plant in order to popularise blue-collar occupations and present career guidance opportunities for young people.
When coming to the exhibition dedicated to aviation professions, the audience is able to plunge into the working atmosphere at aircraft construction facilities, feel the mood of the labour process, and see the inner workings of the aircraft industry.
People of Labour are the workers of the Kazan Aviation Plant, portrayed in the process of production activities.
The exhibition can be visited until September 27, 2019.

Today, the intersection of Kopylov and Pobezhimov streets saw the official opening ceremony of the monument in honour of the Hero of Socialist Labour of the USSR, former Director of the Gorbunov Kazan Aviation Plant, and Honoured Machine Builder of the Russian Federation Vitaly Kopylov.
The ceremony was attended by Presidential Envoy to the Volga Federal District Igor Komarov, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Long-Range Aviation Commander Lieutenant General Sergey Kobylash, and other officials.
Vitaly Kopylov made a great contribution to the development of the country's aviation industry. With his personal participation, the full-scale production of the Tu-160 strategic bomber and the IL-62 long-range aircraft were deployed, and important strategic tasks of ensuring the country’s security were completed.
At the initiative of Vitaly Kopylov, a lot of work has been done to improve the well-being and recreational activities of employees in the aviation industry. The factory annually commissioned up to 30,000 square metres of comfortable housing, established a house building factory, a school, and other social facilities.
Vitaly Kopylov was awarded numerous orders and medals, including two orders of Lenin, the orders of the October Revolution and the Red Banner of Labour.
