Tatarstan was visited by Vitaly Markelov, Deputy Chairman of Gazprom. His working trip began with a visit to the Innopolis University, where an exhibition of Tatarstan enterprises was organised. It presented the displays of innovative and import-substituting products manufactured by enterprises from Tatarstan for the needs of Gazprom. During the tour, Vitaly Markelov was accompanied by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. The guests saw samples of gas engine equipment: passenger cars and gas-powered agricultural vehicles, including MTZ tractors. The exhibition featured the developments of such companies from Tatarstan and Russian regions as Elektropribor, KMPO, RariTEK, Tasma, Kazancompressormash, etc.
At the stand of the Zelenodolsk Shipyard, Rustam Minnikhanov and Vitaly Markelov signed an action plan for the implementation of a pilot project for the use of river vessels operating on liquefied natural gas on republic’s tourist routes. The construction of such a ship is currently launched at the Zelenodolsk Shipyard.
After viewing the exhibition, a meeting was held on implementing the roadmap for interaction between Gazprom and republic’s industrial complex. At the meeting, promising cooperation areas were also mentioned: development of gas filling infrastructure, construction of gas pipelines, and an Innopolis University project to develop an information site for integrated geomechanical modelling of gas fields.

On October 1, the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre in St. Petersburg hosted the opening of the 9th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum (SPIGF 2019).
The Forum is attended by a Tatarstan delegation comprising Head of the Office of the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers Shamil Gafarov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Ildar Mingaleyev, representatives of concerned ministries and agencies, as well as republic’s companies such as RariTEK-Holding, KAMAZ, Gazprom Gas Engine Fuel, and PATP No.2.
Members of the delegation visited an international conference on world expertise in gas engine fuel market development, where issues of implementing programmes and outcomes, incentives and barriers to using natural gas in transport were discussed, with participation by Chairman of the Gazprom Board of Directors Viktor Zubkov.
The SPIGF’2019 saw the finish of the Blue Corridor - Gas into Engines 2019 gas motor rally. The rally started on September 20, 2019 in the Krasnodarsky Krai, with the crews from RariTEK, KAMAZ, Gazprom Gas Engine Fuel, and others. The length of the rally section in Russia is 2,760 kilometres. Its route passed through the Rostovskaya, Voronezhskaya, Belgorodskaya, Moskovskaya, Novgorodskaya, and Leningradskaya oblasts.

A meeting of the working group on cooperation development of Atlas Copco and LEWA/Nikkiso with enterprises in Tatarstan was held today at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects in the development of the gas engine fuel market, implementation of joint projects in the design and manufacture of compressor and vacuum units, pumping and cryogenic equipment.
The first issue on the agenda of the meeting was cooperation with LEWA / Nikkiso on the supply of natural gas liquefaction (LNG) plants to Tatarstan. Nikkiso is a group of companies working in various lines of business: production of cryogenic pumps, pumps for the chemical industry, medical equipment, aerospace equipment, and the production of metering pumps as the field of LEWA division activities.
Another issue for the discussion was the concept of localising the production of Atlas Copco compressors at the Kazancompressormash. The previous meeting with Atlas Copco was held in the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan in June this year.
Atlas Copco is a public company, founded in 1873 and located in Sweden, Stockholm. The company produces diesel and electric compressors, mining equipment, loading and hauling equipment, geotechnical and geological survey equipment, drilling tools; industrial tools, road construction equipment.
The Chistopol Industrial Park was visited by representatives of republic’s sectoral ministries and agencies, major enterprises. The delegation examined the site in the industrial park allotted for the construction of a new plant, a natural gas liquefaction facility.
As part of the tour of the industrial site, an exemplary refuelling of a LNG-operated bus was demonstrated.
A Technopolis representative noted that advanced technology for the gas fuel introduction ensures significant savings for transport companies and are less dangerous for the environment.
During the discussions, the participants noted the advantages of the plant location in the Chistopol Industrial Park. Director General of Technopolis Himgrad Ayrat Gizzatullin noted that Chistopol is the geographical centre of the republic, which speaks of good logistics. In addition, an important role is played by the infrastructure that is created in the industrial park, which allows placing there a state-of-the-art and energy-intensive production facility without additional expenses.
