One of the issues on the agenda was the discussion of the opportunity of opening a branch of LIAZ-Modelarna in Tatarstan. LIAZ-Modelarna is a well-known former manufacturer of LIAZ trucks. Today, the company is engaged in the production of moulds and devices for the automotive and aerospace industries and power engineering. Another activity of LIAZ-Modelarna is the production of drones for the prevention maintenance of oil and gas pipelines.
The parties also discussed the implementation of key points identified at the previous meeting with representatives of Logio in March this year.
Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov noted fruitful joint work on the implementation of the company’s projects in Tatarstan.
Logio specialises in supply chain management. One of its projects is software that helps reduce inventory and increase sales for trading companies and gas stations.
The final issue on the agenda was the consideration of the opportunity of organising a booth of Czech companies within the framework of the presentation of truck assembly line by KAMAZ based on digital enterprise principle during Mechanical Engineer’s Day in September 2019.
Representatives of Czech companies arrived today at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan with a business mission. Their visit was organised by the CzechTrade promotion agency. The agency is a non-profit organisation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic at the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Yekaterinburg.
The purpose of the visit is to explore opportunities of cooperation with enterprises in Tatarstan.
The companies participating in the business mission to Tatarstan include LDM (manufacturers of piping valves), Dimer Group (manufacturers of industrial sealants), and Škoda Praha (engineering service providers).
At a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, experts from Czech enterprises described the core activities of their companies and expressed their intention to cooperate with industrial enterprises in Tatarstan.
Today, a delegation of industrialists from Tatarstan visited the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague. The programme of the one-day visit turned out to be intense.
In the morning, Minister Karimov held talks with leaders of FANS and PBS Energo. In particular, they discussed the plans of the Czech-based FANS for cooperation in the production of water circulation systems and cooling towers, and PBS Energo in the field of turbine production.
Further on, the delegation attended the 7th meeting of the Joint Working Group for Coordination of Trade and Economic Cooperation between the Czech Republic and the Republic of Tatarstan. At the working group meeting, the parties spoke about the cooperation progress with such Tatarstan enterprises as Kazan Helicopters and Vacuummash. From the other side, the plans were announced of some Czech companies such as PBS ENERGO, Jigostroy, MPower Engineering a.s., FAVEA and others to enter the market and/or establish cooperation with Tatarstan’s enterprises. In conclusion, the Minutes of the 7th Joint Working Group meeting was signed.
In the afternoon, a business forum of Tatarstan and Czech enterprises took place, with a presentation of the republic’s industrial potential and industrial enterprises, followed by an exchange of business contacts.
At the end of the visit, Minister Karimov met with Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Czech Republic Alexander Zmeyevskiy.
