Today, a new production line of UzAuto Trailer for the assembly of KAMAZ chassis was launched in the city of Samarkand (Republic of Uzbekistan).

The opening ceremony was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Samarkand Region Governor Erkinjon Turdimov, CEO of KAMAZ Sergey Kogogin, and others.

The guests to the event made a tour of the KAMAZ assembly shop, the mounted and trailed equipment workshop, component assembly lines, gas cylinder equipment assembly section, and saw a model range of trucks and municipal machinery that is expected to be manufactured by the automotive enterprise.

The assembly line is arranged in a new production building, with a total area of ​​7,000 square metres. The line is equipped with up-to-date processing and auxiliary equipment, allowing to ensure production output of more than 3,000 trucks a year.

During the ceremony, documents were signed on the establishment of KAMAZ Asia Leasing, a joint venture between UzAuto Trailer and KAMAZ Leasing Company. It is expected that the joint venture will offer comprehensive one-stop shop solutions when purchasing KAMAZ vehicles on lease, including insurance, installation of telematics equipment, and more.

A delegation of industrialists from the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by Director of Rubber Products Plant Gulomjon Ibragimov is having a working visit to Tatarstan. The main purpose of their visit is to expand bilateral cooperation in the field of gas engine technology, agriculture, and other joint projects.

In particular, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan saw a meeting with representatives of the Uzbekistan side where they expressed an interest in participating in the republic’s programme of gas engine fuel market development.

Further at the meeting, Director General of Global Gaz Montaj (Uzbekistan) Bakhodir Mirzakarimov spoke about the company’s expertise in implementing projects both in Uzbekistan and in Kazakhstan.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of Gazprom Gas Engine Fuel, RariTEK, Zelenodolsk Shipyard and a number of gas station operators in Tatarstan that are interested in the competencies of the experts from Uzbekistan.

The parties also planned that visits of the delegations with representatives of Tatarstan’s companies will take place in the future with an aim of a detailed study of the gas engine fuel market structure in Uzbekistan.
