Experts from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan had a meeting with representatives of the Switzerland-based SICPA. The main issue on the agenda was the project for establishing the company’s facilities in SEZ Alabuga.
SICPA specialises in the labelling, authentication, and traceability of products for industries such as consumer goods (tobacco and alcohol), pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, and food products.
In Tatarstan, SICPA is implementing a partnership agreement with the Centre of Expertise in Product Labelling and Monitoring in the areas of Halal food labelling and fuel labelling.
Company’s representatives noted that they plan to organise the production of labelling equipment in the territory of Tatarstan, which will further facilitate the export of Halal products to local producers.
According to Bari Murtazin, SICPA Director for Strategic Development in Russia, the Halal product labelling project is an IT project that will allow tracking products from the manufacturer to the consumer.
In follow-up to the meeting, the parties decided to create a working group to coordinate joint efforts, and to sign a roadmap in the future to indicate specific steps for the project implementation.
Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov had a meeting with guests from the State of Palestine.
The delegation headed by Hebron Governor Jibreen al-Bakri was composed of representatives of the Palestinian business community.
The participants to the meeting expressed mutual consent to develop bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and the State of Palestine.
Governor Al-Bakri outlined potential areas for mutual partnership, such as the economic sector, agriculture, tourism, culture, and education. During the meeting, representatives of Palestine stated their proposals for establishing business ties with the companies in Tatarstan in the fields of mechanical engineering, electric power, and supplies of agricultural produce (grain crops and others).
In conclusion, the Palestinian guests thanked the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry for the warm welcome and expressed hope for further cooperation in the future, in particular, in the format of B2B meetings.
Hebron is one of the 16 provinces of the State of Palestine located in the southern part of the West Bank of Jordan, the capital is the city of Hebron. The province’s population is about 600,000 people; its territory is 1,060 square kilometres.
Chairman of the Board of Hankintatukku Oy (Finland), Dr. of Medical Science, Prof. Aimo Juhani Niskanen arrived in the Republic of Tatarstan on a working visit.
At the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, the meeting was held by Deputy Minister Aleksey Savelchev. The parties discussed potential cooperation in the production of food additives of various categories.

Hankintatukku’s pharmaceutical factory is located in the town of Karkkila (Southern Finland), while its headquarters is located in Helsinki.
A delegation of enterprises from the Chelyabinsk Region and the Krasnodar Territory arrived in Tatarstan with a business mission. The purpose of their visit was to establish bilateral contacts and exchange experience with enterprises in Tatarstan.
The delegation comprised representatives of agricultural and food industries from such companies as Agrotech, Varnaagromash, Ural Confectioners, Zlatoust Watch Factory, Zlatoust Weapons Factory, New Heat Machines (manufacturer of heat exchange equipment), as well as leisure enterprises: Urals Recreation House, Rus Sanatorium, Solar Valley Recreation House, and others.
A number of Tatarstan companies were invited to meet with regional businessmen: Tatneft Trade and Technical House, Almetyevsk Heat Networks, Metroelectrotrans, Kazancompressormash, Tatarstan Federation of Trade Unions, etc.
Members of the business delegation presented the products and services of their companies. Among them are equipment for mini-cheese plants, appliances and spare parts for agricultural machinery, mechanical wrist watches and diver’s watches, confectionery, heat exchange equipment, as well as health resort services.
The mission will last until October 24, 2019; members of the delegation will visit the city of Innopolis, as well as Chistopol and Zelenodolsk districts of the republic.
The delegation from the Republic of Kazakhstan and representatives of the Tatarstan’s petrochemical companies had a meeting today in the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan to exchange experience. The Kazakhstani delegation includes representatives of the Karachaganak Petroleum Operating (KPO, operator of one of the world’s largest oil and gas fields), authorised body from the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan, as well as the Akimat of the Burlinsky District of Kazakhstan.
Opening the meeting, Deputy Minister Aleksey Savelchev spoke about the specific features of the republic’s petrochemical sector, the main developments and existing competencies in the field of oil production and oil refining in Tatarstan.
Further at the meeting, presentations were made by representatives of the Tatarstan-based companies Tatneft and TANECO. They talked about the main projects underway at their enterprises, innovative developments and outcomes. Representatives of Tatneftekhiminvest-holding also took part in the discussion.
In the afternoon, the delegation from Kazakhstan met with representatives of other Tatarstan’s companies, such as Tagras-Holding, TatProm-Holding, Tatintec, the Engineering and Production Centre, the Scientific and Production Enterprise of Integrated Gas Systems, the Kazan Motor-Building Production Association, Kazancompressormash, and KER-Holding.
Tomorrow, the Kazakhstani delegation expects to a tour of the enterprises in the Alabuga SEZ, after which the results of the visit will be summed up at a working meeting in the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan.
An introductory meeting with a delegation from Harbin City (China, Heilongjiang Province) was held today in the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan. At the Ministry, the guests were welcomed by Deputy Minister German Lerner.
The Chinese delegation was headed by Vice-Mayor of the Harbin Municipal People’s Government Zhang Wanping.
“As an administrative centre, Harbin has much in common with your republic. We, like you, are famous as a centre of engineering, advanced information technology and eco-friendly products”, said the Vice-Mayor.
The main issue on the meeting’s agenda was the discussion of partnership between the two regions in various areas. “When defining the aspects of our mutual cooperation, we would first like to highlight areas such as science and technology, industry and trade, investment and tourism,” said Mr. Zhang Wanping.
In order to develop cooperation opportunities between Tatarstan and Harbin, representatives of the Chinese delegation proposed to establish business relations with the Harbin New District (a special economic zone in Harbin).

Today, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan hosted a working meeting with the Mechanical Engineering Cluster of Tatarstan, chaired by Deputy Minister Almaz Khusainov.
Cluster representatives told experts of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan about their projects aimed at expanding the geography of supplies, establishing contacts, and promoting their products.
In particular, the KOM Group from Naberezhnye Chelny presented their project of all-terrain vehicles. These vehicles are made of domestic components and are assembled in Naberezhnye Chelny. The company is interested in promoting products on the European market.
OOO KORA is engaged in the production of articles from composite materials on a robotic complex.
Project Manager of Korib Group Vladislav Svidetelev thanked the officials of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade for their assistance in establishing contacts with regional and foreign partners, as well as for the invitation to attend the First Caspian Economic Forum in Turkmenistan.

OOO Tatcable is a plant manufacturing cable and wire products. The company was commissioned in 2009. Tatcable produces cables with a very large construction length and a drum flange diameter of 4,500 mm, voltage up to 500 kV inclusive, with a cross-section of conductive wires of up to 2500 square mm.
OOO Tatteploizolyatsiya plant was built in 2008. The company produces pipes and fittings pre-insulated with PU foam with diameters of 32-1220 mm in outer protective sheaths made of LPPE or galvanised steel (pipe-in-pipe system).
OOO Invent-Electro opened in 2007 is one of the Russia’s largest manufacturers of electrical equipment. The plant produces energy-saving equipment, gas-insulated units, complete switchgears, other electrical devices, and metal products.
This Sunday, Minister Karimov arrived in Turkmenistan as a member of the Tatarstan delegation. The delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov came to Turkmenbashi to participate in the First Caspian Economic Forum. The delegation includes representatives of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, industrial enterprises, and related republic’s universities.
The Caspian Economic Forum takes place in the Avaza National Resort Zone and includes several events: an international conference, the Caspian Exhibition of Innovative Technologies, and the signing of treaties, agreements, and contracts.
The Tatarstan delegation attended “The Caspian Sea: Benefits of Strengthening International Economic Cooperation” conference. The next event in Turkmenistan was a visit to the Kiyanly Petrochemical Complex. At the close of the visit, the Tatarstan delegation toured the International Exhibition of Innovative Technology.
It is worth noting that several important cooperation agreements were signed on the sidelines of the Caspian Economic Forum with the participation of such enterprises as OPK Ak Bars, KER-Holding, KAMAZ, Turkmendenizderellary Agency, Balkan Shipbuilding and Repairing Plant, Turkmenhimiya, and others.
