Today, the Kazanskaya Yarmarka Exhibition Centre hosted the opening ceremony of the 17th International Specialised Exhibition “Mechanical Engineering. Metalworking. Kazan” and the 12th Specialised Exhibition “TechnoWelding”.

The ceremony was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Executive Director of WorldSkills International David Hoey, Chairman of the State Development Corporation of Thuringia Andreas Krey, etc.

Also on this day, a meeting of the Coordinating Council of Tatarstan Mechanical Engineering Enterprises was held under the chairmanship of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, which dealt with digital economy issues.

The 17th Mechanical Engineering. Metalworking. Kazan Exhibition and the 12th TechnoWelding Exhibition are being held from December 6 to December 8, 2017 at the Kazanskaya Yarmarka Exhibition Centre. This year, the exhibition participants were 153 companies from 20 regions of Russia and 17 countries. Their displays present the latest developments, technologies, advanced equipment, and innovative systems in the field of mechanical engineering, metal processing, and composite materials.

Today on December 7, the events under the general title “2017 Quality Days in the Republic of Tatarstan” are coming to an end. On December 5, Kazan hosted the International Forum “Tatarstan, a Territory of Quality” organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, the Kazan State Power Engineering University, and the Volga Centre for Quality. The scope of issues discussed at the forum covered a wide range of areas: from health care to education in the region and the country, the experience of introducing international management standards, lean manufacturing tools, quality assurance issues, and information security.

On the next day, December 6, the 9th International Conference “Quality Management Systems in Education” was held, and the Kazan City Polyclinic No. 21 hosted the round table discussion titled “Topical Management Issues in Organising a Friendly Polyclinic of Tatarstan Standard”. On December 7, a round table discussion was also held on the practice of compiling self-assessment reports on the Business Excellence and Production Systems models.

The events timed to the 2017 Quality Days in the Republic of Tatarstan was attended by leading Russian quality professionals, representatives of public authorities, experts from certification bodies and qualification assessment centres, including those from Belgium and China.
