Today, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov took part in summing up the results of the Congress of Managing Companies and Residents of Industrial Parks within the framework of the Glimpse to the Future Forum. The event was held in Kazan on the premises of Korston Hotel and Mall with the participation of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.

Executive Director of the Industrial Parks Association Denis Zhuravsky noted in his speech that 10 percent of all Russia’s industrial parks are located in Tatarstan. At the same time, 32 percent (677 enterprises) of all country’s residents are concentrated in these parks in the republic.

The Tatarstan President appreciated the success of the industrial sites operation programme.

According to Rustam Minnikhanov, the topic raised within the Forum is very important; it has a separate block in the Message of the Tatarstan President to the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan. He also noted that a large investor from Turkey is prepared to come to Tatarstan, but the regulatory framework should be brought closer together for its fruitful work.

Vahit Yıldırım, Chairman of the Executive Board at the Gebze Organised Industrial Zone, met today with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. The event was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov.

During the conversation, the participants discussed issues related to the establishment of a joint industrial zone based on the Sviyazhsk Interregional Multimodal Logistics Hub.

The Tatarstan President noted that Tatarstan is interested in cooperation with Gebze. In addition, Rustam Minnikhanov suggested starting work on attracting potential residents to the new industrial zone.

The Gebze Organised Industrial Zone (GOSB) is located in Turkey in the Gebze Province. It was founded in 1986. Currently, 156 companies are registered with GOSB, 42 of which are foreign companies. Its staff is 22,000.

The core ​​activities of its residents are engineering, automotive, auto component production, IT, foods, plastics, electrical equipment, electronics, etc. GOSB hosts companies from Germany, Austria, USA, Denmark, Finland, France, Netherlands, UK, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, Israel, Japan, Luxembourg, and South Korea.

The ceremony of appointing new Director General of the Kazan Gunpowder Plant, Aleksandr Livshits, took place on September 21 in the Conference Hall of the plant management building. The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Director of the Conventional Arms Industry Department at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kapranov, Deputy Director General of the Tatarstan Association of Enterprises and Industrialists Igor Rassman, and the employees of the gunpowder plant.
